The French program at Rosedale Heights offers enriched courses. Students in grade 9 can study French at the applied, academic or enriched level.

3.  Earl Haig Secondary School

Earl Haig Secondary School (also known as an EHSS) serves a diverse population and is recognized for its academic focus, enthusiasm for learning, lively school spirit, and commitment to the arts.

The school was designed by the Toronto architectural firm of Craig and Madill then construction started fully in November 1929. This is one of Toronto’s oldest high schools, with a reputable and established academic organogram.

It is currently the largest high school in the Toronto District School Board. The program consists of dance, drama, music, film arts, and visual arts.

4.  St. Pious X High School

St. Pius X High School is founded in 1958. The school board is Ottawa Catholic School Board and they believe that ” To establish all things in Christ ” which is the motto of  St. Pius X High School. This also is a high school that ranges as one of the cheapest high schools in Canada.

5.  Nepean High School

NHS (Nepean High School) is located at 574 Broadview Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A 3V8, Canada. Nepean is known for its strong academic success with roughly 94% of students graduating to higher education (53% being Ontario Scholars). This is of course a very notable statistic, showcasing the school’s efficiency and consistency over the years.

Nepean’s curricular offerings include Academic/University, Applied/College, French Immersion, Extended French, Specialist High Skills Major in the Environment, Advanced Placement Courses, Leadership Development, and Cooperative Education courses.

6.  Westdale Secondary School

Westdale Secondary School is a public high school founded in 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario. It is a school in the city of Hamilton and is located in Westdale Village, a suburb on the west end of the city.

Westdale is HWDSB’s first International World School offering an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Westdale Secondary School currently offers two Specialist High Skills Major programs in Construction and Arts and Culture.

7.  WestMount Secondary School

Westmount Secondary School is a secondary school in Hamilton Ontario, Canada. It is a member of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

It is currently the only secondary school in Hamilton to make it into the Fraser Institute’s top 100 High Schools in Ontario, ranked at #84 out of 718.

This is no doubt a notable height. Since 1990, Westmount has operated under a self-directed learning program; more commonly referred to as a self-paced environment.

This allows students to be able to complete work at their own pace, by enabling them with the abilities to carry over unfinished courses into the next semester, or fast-track them and finish earlier.

It is one of the only schools with this program in Canada, and often plays host to international visitors wishing to view the teaching process in person.

Westmount is also home to a newly instituted Advanced Placement program, and one of Hamilton’s best-gifted programs. It also has a growing Media Arts and Animation program and owns a Macintosh computer lab with a separate Macintosh network.

Approximately 35% of the computers used at Westmount are Apple Mac computers. Westmount is no doubt a fully packed high school and the first choice for many.
